Electrical Engineering & Automation (Chinese taught program)
         I. Objectives
Understanding of politics, economy and culture in China, to participate in and promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and their country,This specialty is to cultivate innovative application talents with strong practical ability and capacity for sustainable development, whose knowledge, ability and quality develop coordinatively to adapt to the requirements of economic, social and scientific technology development. The students of this specialty should have a solid basic knowledge of the natural sciences, systematically master extensive basic engineering technology and expertise, including electric and electronic technology, electrical automation, power system automation, and control theory. They understand certain management science, humanities and social science knowledge, have strong comprehensive ability to use foreign language in engineering applications. The can be engaged in research, development, operation and management works in the field of electrical automation, power systems, power electronics, information detection and processing, automation equipment and automated production lines, computer application and networked monitoring and control system, etc. 

II. Requirements

The students of this specialty mainly study the basic theory and knowledge of electrical engineering. They should master the basic theory and knowledge of analysis, design and development in the field of electrical engineering. They should have basic training of expertise and technology in the aspect of electrical automation, power system automation, computer network technology, and information processing.
Through the four-year study of course, experiment and practice, engineering training, the graduates of this specialty should obtain the knowledge and abilities of the following aspects:
1、Has a solid basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and other natural sciences, good humanities and social sciences, management science foundation and Chinese language ability.
2、Systematically master the essential technology and theory knowledge in the field of this specialty, mainly include power electronics, motion control technology, and electrical engineering foundation.
3、With the necessary expertise and skills in the field of this specialty, a certain degree of understanding of academic frontiers and development trends in the applications of electrical automation and power system automation.
4、Get a better engineering practice of analysis, design and development in electrical engineering.
5、Has team spirit, strong ability to adapt, has some capabilities of scientific research, technological development and organizational management.
